The individual who would be selected to take on the role of writing this blog would have two primary responsibilities 1) to create/maintain a new external-facing company blog for businesses level clients (B2C & B2B) that provides insight into and promotes the entire platform of Google business web products; and; 2) for handling questions posted by visitors, and when necessary troubleshooting and identifying emerging situations that need expeditious attention (trouble spots) related to dissatisfied or frustrated business clients. 

This professional managing this blog-level customer service hot-line would be responsible for promoting/showcasing new Google products, and to discuss the features of existing products in a way that benefits business users. The professional who is selected to write an Internal Blog on Business Strategies for Google would by necessity be expected to consume a huge volume of printed, published, and otherwise documented information related to the company which would include information saved on internal shared company drives, as well as information that is published externally about the company from analysts reports, media coverage and competitive reviews published about the company and other partner and competitive companies.  In addition to the ability to consume a tremendous volume of printed information, this professional would also be expected to attend, audit or participate in internal and shareholder-focused meetings on a near-continuous basis.

This individual would need to possess the ability to understand the progressive nature of the core capabilities of the company, and position themselves to find and decipher fragments of information that show the future intentions and un-disclosed plans/strategies of competitors, partners and other industry organizations. This individual would be required to assimilate this information into a series of confidential blog posts which would be structured to provide company executives with a snapshot of the information (which although well documented) would by necessity take the form of executive level summary reports. This new position recommended for The Company would share insight through an internal blog to document and discover the perceptions of Google labs and beta-level products, which are being developed and internally tested, by employees and various proprietary partners under confidentiality agreements. The Internal Blogger for Developmental, New and Beta Level products would be a password (intranet) level blog that makes use of internal communications channels to help provide developers with a history of feedback on products as they go through the development cycle.

This professional would be an internal champion of tested products, but also a bearer of bad news for any and all the products of which they review.
